Comp-8100 Assignment 10 and Steps for completing online SPT
Hello
Comp 8100 Students,
Assignment#10
is due the Monday, Nov. 27, 2023. This is also our last class. Thus, there is no class on Monday, Dec. 4,
although your assignment 11 is due on that day.
Our last class is Monday, Nov. 27 and SPT is
administered on Monday, Nov. 27.
SPTs provide
students with an opportunity for feedback regarding their course and instructor
in order to enhance the teaching/learning culture on campus.
To access and complete an online SPT:
1.
In your web browser, preferably Google
Chrome, go to www.uwindsor.ca/uwinsitestudent.
2.
Click the blue SIGN IN TO UWINSITE STUDENT button.
3.
On the Sign
in screen, enter (or select) your UWinID@uwindsor.ca.
Click the Next button.
4.
On the Enter
password screen, enter your UWin Account password.
Click the Sign in button.
5.
On your Student
Homepage in UWinsite Student, click
the My Academics tile.
6.
Click Student
Perception of Teaching in the left navigation menu.
7.
Select the appropriate term and click the Continue button.
8.
In the STUDENT
PERCEPTION OF TEACHING box, click the Start button. Please note
that the Start button is active during the last 2 weeks of classes only. You
will not be able to complete your course SPT prior to this time or once your
term has completed. SPTs will show UNAVAILABLE if they are not active.
o For
courses that have both an instructor and an academic coordinator, PLEASE
SELECT YOUR INSTRUCTOR'S NAME WHEN COMPLETING THE SPT.
Follow the instructions within the SPT in
order to complete and submit.
If you encounter a technical issue completing
a SPT through UWinsite Student, please submit a ticket here.
**
Note that Assignment 10 is due Monday, Nov. 27, 2023 and this
requires as guided through the course outline schedule that you now include
Conclusion, Abstract and all other remaining parts of the full survey.
For Assignment #10, you should include a complete draft contents with
Conclusion to the ongoing report from Assignment #9 with full list of
references and Appendix A (annotations). Note that your 20 most important paper
references should each show their level of importance and reason for the paper
being important. This means a report with all 10 most important papers
annotated, with the whole introduction, conclusion and all other parts, putting
the report in the format of the “Comp-8100 (60-510) Report Template”.
Find this final report template through Brightspace,
Resource, Course, Course Tools link. Note that I have revised the uploaded
template so that it has the most recent annotations format of 8 points (not 9
points used in 2018). Also, to be included at the end of this report submitted
for Assignment 9 are the already approved Reference List of 20 most important
papers, and the annotations of the 10 most important papers as Appendix
A.
Note that Full Report submission is due on Monday,
Dec. 4, 2023. By Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, Assignment #11 will
be due. For Assignment #11, you should have a complete final draft report with
abstract, table of contents, List of Figures and every part with full list of
references and Appendix A (annotations). Our
last class is on Monday, Nov. 27 and the SPT is administered.
Note for permitted Late Report
Submission, The final version of the survey must be submitted no later
than December 11, 2023. This permitted late submission date
is one week after the Monday of the last week of classes (Dec. 4),
when the final report (Assignment 11) is due.
As
I told you, the goal is that you start early to convert those annotations
into your full report in the template of the report I left in the resource
link.
You
need a score of 70% to pass a graduate course. Thus, if you have not seen
me to discuss your work to ensure you can get at least 70% in the class, you
are taking a risk of not knowing if you can pass this class. Please, come in
between 2:30 and 5:30pm on Monday, Nov.27, 2023, to discuss your work
(Assn #10) if you need to and have not seen me recently. Note that I
cannot mark all your submitted assignment every week and my marking is through
my comments when you bring in a hard copy and go through with me. Bring a
hard copy of your assignment #9 if you are coming to discuss with me to get
written feedback from me. Also, include your complete list of references
and Appendix A.
